About Carlos
I didn’t grow up around wealth. My great-grandmother raised me—wise beyond her years, though she never learned to read or write. We lived on her Social Security check, and still, we made it work. She taught me that true wealth isn’t about chasing more—it’s about using what you have to build freedom, stability, and impact. That wisdom shapes everything I do today.
Pivot was built for people who don’t always feel seen in the financial world—first-generation wealth builders, professionals with complex financial lives, and families who want their money to reflect their mission.
You won’t get canned advice here. Our approach is both strategic and empathetic—designed to simplify, not overwhelm. Together, we’ll reduce your tax burden, organize your finances, and help you make confident, long-term decisions rooted in peace and purpose.
You’ve already climbed farther than anyone expected. Now it’s time to build wealth that reflects the life you’ve worked so hard to create.
It would be an honor to walk that path with you.

Adviser Q&A
What would surprise people about your path to financial planning?
Most people don’t know I was pre-med at first. I became an EMT after high school, interned in an ER, and thought I’d become a surgeon. But over time, I found myself drawn to helping people with their financial health rather than their physical health. The more I paid attention, the more I saw how deeply money impacts every part of life. Guiding someone toward financial peace became more fulfilling than anything I ever did with a stethoscope.
What do you believe about money that most people don’t?
That success isn’t a number—it’s a feeling. Peace of mind. Options. Time with your kids. Most people think more income will fix the overwhelm, but it won’t. Money works when it’s aligned with your life—not the other way around.
How do you spend your time outside of work?
These days, I’m chasing around my toddler, loving on my newborn, and making coffee that’s way too fancy. I love exploring Idaho with my wife and kids, watching high-quality, artistic films (the kind that linger with you!), and keeping up with all my New York sports teams: Yankees, Jets, and Knicks—it’s a test of patience and loyalty, but someone’s gotta do it.
FUN FACT!
I’m a musician! I’ve played guitar, bass, and drums for years—and led my church’s worship team long before I ever built a financial plan. Music has always been my first language.
